This Antique Black Lacquer Jewelry Box
measures 12 inches long, 8 inches wide, and 5 inches tall. The top features three cranes by a stream and trees painted in gold and splashes of red. The sides of the top are decorated with a gold vine pattern. The front of the box has a lock (but we don't have the key). The inside of the top features a floral design of three flowers painted in gold, silvery-white, and pink. The inside of the jewelry box has a removable tray with two lidded compartments and a center area with a removable grid. The hinges are gold-tone.
This black lacquer jewelry box would make an elegant addition to any collection.

Most of the items sold under the Everett Estate were the property of the late Mrs. Everett, who died in early 2001. She led an interesting life: spent a year travelling around the world when she was in her 20's (during the 1930's) and later lived up and down the eastern seaboard collecting 3 husbands and other interesting if not valuable items, many of which will be sold here.
